Final Week- Good Luck.

Hi friends!

This is the end of the journey in this subject. This week we had to do our final assignment. It   includes rewriting of the report we did it a week before, after a friend of us reviewed it. I really enjoyed this subject. It was the only subject that I was always trying to fulfill all the assignments required. One reason was the deadline, and the other was that I really enjoyed working with technology. I learned a lot of new things this semester that if i choose to put in practice will facilitate my job as a teacher a lot. Now I know that technology is a very powerful tool in teaching, if you know to use it an an appropriate way. If in the beginning of this semester I had that idea that this subject won't help us at all, now I am totally convinced that it is the most helpful subject we have ever done so far. I hope you have enjoyed too, and I wish you good luck in the final exams.

Review with track changes.

This week we had to use track changes to review our partner essay. It was very interesting job since in the future we will deal a lot of reviews and corrections. I review Lejla's essay and I try to correct all the errors in order to help her to create a good essay for our final assignment. I hope Lejla will take in consideration my suggestions. Peer Review.

Hello everyone!

 Our assignment for this week was postponed as we had difficulties to understand it. At the very beginning we were confused and none of us was able to give a correct answer of what we were supposed to do. Once we talked with our teacher we become more clear. So for week 11 we had to write a final report of everything we have done so far and also to choose another partner to correct each other on final report. My partner this time is Lejla. I am waiting for her suggestion and recommendation in order to write my final essay.  As well I will work with Lejla's report to correct and suggest her  possible changes. TEACHING JOURNAL...

 Hello guys!!   This week assignment has to do with teaching journals. We had to keep a journal of everything that is going to happen in the class during our presentation. Since I haven’t present it yet then I write only how we will develop the lesson hour. However, I should say that teaching journals are very important for a teacher. Keeping a teaching  journal gives teachers a space to generate teaching ideas, work out teaching problems, reflect on their successes and struggles in the classroom, and put their past insights to work in planning future courses. Having a consistent and detailed record of your insights and particular pedagogical successes will make the task of telling stories about your teaching substantially easier, and will make those stories more persuasive. Keeping up with a teaching journal will continue to help you through your academic career as you move toward tenure review, where detailed and polished teaching materials are key.  

WEEK 9 - PROJECT DETAILS

Hi Friends !!!

For this week we had to be more detailed on what we are going to do in our presentation. It was easy for me to deal with this assignment since  Aurora and I have already finished our project. We have decided to use a video, a PowerPoint presentation and a game. We are going to teach to our students "Food Idioms", and this technological tools will be very helpful not only for us as teachers but also for students. How can technological tools influence our teaching?

Hi guys ! This week assignment ask us to think about how technological elements might influence our teaching, and to write some issues or problems that the class is experiencing. Technology is a powerful tool that can support and transform education in many ways, from making it easier for teachers to create instructional materials to enabling new ways for people to learn and work together. Today, technology enables forms of communication and collaboration undreamt of in the past. The technological tools we have chosen are very helpful for us. It makes our presentation easier and much more comprehensible to our students.  By using this tools of technology we aim to make the lesson hour more interactive . Technology can be used to improve teaching and learning and help our students be successful. While smaller schools and class sizes are always desired, technology can not do that physically. However, technology can be a “force multiplier” for the teacher. Instead of the teacher being the only source of help in a classroom, students can access web sites, online tutorials, and more to assist them. Education doesn’t stop at the end of the school day because students have access to teachers, resources, and assignments via the web and access these resources at any time. Students can also get help and tutoring at any time, whether from the teacher via email or online collaboration, or from a help web site.

ESL releated skill !!!

HI FRIENDS...
I have just finished the assingment of this week and I feel released.I though I won't make it since today is the deadline of this assingment but here I am. This week we had to define an ESL releated skill to teach to our students. Me and Aurora have decided to teach listening and speaking to our students, since our topic is about Teaching Idioms. By developing speaking and listening we as teachers aim to help our students to speak fluently the english language. As well what is more important it will help them to interact more with each other and to learn from each other.

Our assingment for this week has to do with our project considering the class we are going to present it. It was exciting thinking myself as a teacher. However, I find it a bit difficult because it requires a hard work. I start thinking for my class, my course goals,my student needs and so on. My topic for this presentation is food idioms and we are going to use songs and different games. We have chosen idioms because we want our students talk fluently the English language.

WebQuest...

 This week we had a very interesting assignment, creation of an WebQuest. It wasn't as difficult as I thought only a bit messy. WebQuests are probably the most talked-about and widely used Web-based activities in today's classrooms.  WebQuests are also a wonderful way of capturing students' imagination and allowing them to explore in a guided, meaningful manner. WebQuests give students a task that allows them to use their imagination and problem-solving skills. The answers are not predefined and therefore must be discovered or created. Students must use their own creative-thinking and problem-solving skills to find solutions to problems. I think WebQuest is a help for us as teachers-to-be to make our students to get more involved in learning process. Project Based Learning

This week we had to work on Padlet. At the very beggining I did not understand anything. I was totally out of my depth, but with the help of my friends I handle it. Generally it was a nice experience . Another thing we had to do was to read about Project Based Learning . Project-based learning is a dynamic classroom approach in which students actively explore real-world problems and challenges and acquire a deeper knowledge.Students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge.Students make their project work public by explaining, displaying and/or presenting it to people beyond the classroom. It looks quite interesting method because it makes schools more engaging for students. As well project based learning provides opportunities for students to use technology.

ABCD objectives/ HOT POTATOES exercices

Hello my friends ! I know I am a bit late to give my impression to the task of this week, but as someone told me today better late than never. I read a lot for the ABCD objectives and I realized that it wasn`t something we haven`t heard before. The most important thing for ABCD objectives is that they  must be both observable and measurable to be effective. Organizing a lesson hour based on ABCD objectives help teachers to focus attention on important task and information, to choose appropriate instructional and learning strategies etc. Exercices were that part of the task that takes me a lot of time. It was quite difficult to deal with them but at least I did it.  

Cooperative learning

Hello class. I just saw the videos of Kagan Method and I can say that I find it quite impressive. It was a method very different than the methods that we are used to. Kagan method brings a total transformation in the classroom. In my opinion cooperative learning is the best way to teach new thing to students. The students are in the center of teaching process and the teacher plays mostly the role of instruction and advisor. The structures of Kagan Method can be used in every level, from preschool to college students. Using of this structure will improve all the major skills of students, and as well enhance social skills and social relations. I would like to work with this structure in my future because I see very helpful as a method to manage a class even if it has a large number of students. This structure gives the students opportunities to learn things in a more practical way rather than just learn by heart.

Hello everybody. I have heard the term blogg a lot of times,but I never thought one day I would have a blogg too. At the very beggining it seems greek to me everything teacher told as to do, but I think I am on the right way. It is important to get involved on it in order to understand the way how it works.  It looks a very interesting method to deal in a class with many students, and I think this is going to help us a lot in our future as teachers-to-be. Technology is always  neccesary in our life and specially in nowadays. I am glad that we have the chance to learn how to use it in the class and for the class. I wish all of you my friends good luck. Take it easy and enjoy the blogg,at least it is not as difficult as it looks .
