This week we had to work on Padlet. At the very beggining I did not understand anything. I was totally out of my depth, but with the help of my friends I handle it. Generally it was a nice experience . Another thing we had to do was to read about Project Based Learning . Project-based learning is a
dynamic classroom approach in which students actively explore real-world
problems and challenges and acquire a deeper knowledge.Students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge.Students make their project work public by explaining, displaying and/or presenting it to people beyond the classroom. It looks quite interesting method because it makes schools more engaging for students. As well project based learning provides opportunities for students to use technology.
In addition to what you have pointed as an advantage, I would also add the fact that Albanian learners would have a chance to work on real life tasks and become familiar with doing presentations and talking in public, which is a skill which is underdeveloped mostly in our schools.

ReplyDeleteThe PBL it is based on the constructivists approach where learners can construct their knowledge about the world.Now with the project based learning they are able to express their creativity and explore new ideas by using different artifacts.

ReplyDeleteAt the beggining, we all were confused about Padlet, but finally we are done with it I think .
As far as PBL is concerned, it is very interesting method to be used. It is a student centered approach which help students enhance their skills and abilities.
Hope we as future teachers use it.
